Sara Cristina's Guide to Montauk
Our Picks for where to go and what to do at the East End.
For those looking to escape the city for the weekend, Montauk has become an amazing summer getaway with a bohemian vibe. The easternmost end of Long Island is a place where we just want to wear nothing else but a bathing suit (Sara Cristina, of course!), relax, drink rosé, swim, go to the beautiful waterfront bars and explore its culinary scene. Here are our picks to where to eat, and what to do in one of the coolest places of the East Coast.Crow’s NestOur favorite place to eat and enjoy the sunset while watching kids play on the edge of the Lake Montauk.
The Surf Lodge Between its avocado smash, endless beach parties, live music, the surfer chic boutique and late night bonfires we knew this would be one of our favorite spots this summer.
The Montauk Beach House is located a block away from surf beaches and in the heart of downtown Montauk. It has a beautiful garden area perfect for social gathering to eat, drink and relax. The Aperol Spritz is amazing!
Duryea’s Lobster Deck is a famous Montauk spot known for its top lobster rolls. It just reopened with a modern redesign and the outdoor seating is a great escape for lunch or a sunset dinner.
Gurney’s is the only year-round resort in Montauk. Its iconic white and yellow cottages offer the most spectacular ocean view.
We also passed by Cynthia Rowley’s boutique. We loved that she added, in the courtyard behind the store, both La Ligne sporty striped pieces and SagTown Coffee, a espresso garden that serves great coffee from La Colombe.
